A Sexy Story of Three Wayward Girls (New Review for Diaries of the Fag Hags)

A sexy story of three wayward girls – a very entertaining read

These characters are real. Those of us who have led a certain type of existence know them, and Toy Davis manages to bring them back to life for us in a most vivid, gripping and amusing way.  The book meanders through encounters, romances, betrayals, new opportunities and behaviours very typical of so many of us.
The confused sexualities and frequent casual sexual exploits add interest and intrigue to the even more frequent dramas.  Darnisa, Jasmine and Faye stumble through their disorganised lives, with Darnisa usually leading them on in an amusing and entertaining way.
The book ends with the realization of even more betrayal, but with the prospect of a replacement conquest not far away.
Altogether it is a fascinating study and enjoyable tale of sex, ever changing relationships and disappointment.  Each page makes you want to read more, and the end leaves you wanting more, as a good book should.  I look forward to reading the rest of the series.  This author will certainly break into the big time soon.

Disappearance of Claus

Santa felt weak. His time was coming to an end, and he knew it. The children of the world no longer believed in him. Corporations had turned him into a joke.

His red suit hung loosely on his body. He was wasting away. His home no longer smelt of ginger bread and hot chocolate, it smelt of stall air and mold. Dark shadows painted the corners and hid the insects that had nested here. Rats crawled within the walls.

His elves no longer made toys. The greed of the children had tainted them. They turned on each other, and eventually they turned on Santa. He now carried a machete on him at all times for protection, but he was becoming weak. He knew it was only a matter of time before he fell victim to their hungry. They would eat him like they ate his beloved reindeers.

His boots thudded on the wooden floor as he walked to the bedroom. His wife Mrs. Claus sat in a rocking chair. She knitted a cap for a child who no longer believed in them. She had hope, and that hope kept her spark of life glowing bright. She looked the same as she always had. His heart cried out, knowing what he had to do.

She looked up at him and smiled. “I love you,” she told him.

His stomach knotted and somehow he managed to keep the vomit down. He had to do this. He was dying, and the elves were waiting to feed. He heard a giggle beneath the window, they were watching now. He forced a smile onto his lips. “I love you too.”

She looked down at the cap, releasing him for a moment from her stare. He briefly closed his eyes as he deeply inhaled. He knew now was the time, soon he would be too weak to save her.

He brought the machete down onto her head. The yarn and knitting needle dropped to the floor. She hadn’t seen it coming so she didn’t cry out. He pulled the blade free of her skull and stumbled out of the room.

He dropped to his knees as acidy bale erupted from his mouth. The warm liquid splashed onto his hands as it thickly covered the floor. He pulled himself together and rose to his feet. His wiped his hands on his pants.

A window broke in another room. The flesh eating elves were coming. He lit his chimney one last time. The stockings still hung, but now they were covered with dust and cobwebs.

He sat down in his chair and stared into the flames. He was as old as mankind. He had survived wars, plagues, gunshots and time itself. But he couldn’t survive disbelief. The children’s dreams and wishes gave him strength, without them he could not exist.

His vision blurred. He was dying. He heard the hate filled giggles as the elves entered the room. Santa had loved them one time before the world’s greed corrupted them, now he feared them. The last spark of life left him and the elves fed.

Holiday Interview by Kharisma Rhayne

1)-- With imagination as your only limitation, what would be your perfect holiday vacation and why? I would go to New York to see the giant christmas light up. Also going ice skating and then stay warm and cozy in a nice hotel with my loved one. When my older brother died over fifteen years ago my family stopped celabrating christmas, so it would be nice to experince one again.
2)-- What is your favorite holiday movie? Christmas with the Kranks.
3)-- What is your favorite holiday book? This is horrible, I cannot think of one that I have read. I am more of a sci-fi and horror girl.
4)– Have you written or would you ever like to write a holiday themed book? I have a short short in my soon to be released novel ‘Secrets and Sins’ that is about Christmas. It’s called ‘Just Another Day (A different Kind of Christmas Story)’. I’m not sure if I could do a whole book on the subject.
5)-- What holiday character do you wish really existed? Sanata Cluse but the robot one from Futurama.
6)-- Do you believe in Santa? No, but the idea is a nice one.
7)-- Share with us your most wicked holiday fantasy. Taking my boyfriend to a cabin with a fireplace and having my way with him.
8)—Share with us a favorite holiday memory. When I was younger my best friend and I would meet up every year to exchange gifts, no matter what else was going on that day. We did that for over twenty years until she moved away with her husband. It was the only tradition I had, and the memory of it puts a smile on my face.
9)—Do you have a holiday tradition? If so, what is it? J already answered.
10)-- Tell us about your latest release. A group of college friends decide to spend winter break at Flow's cabin. They invite Hailey to join them for the first time, and she agrees to go because of her crush on Flow. Unbeknown to most of them, this cabin is known as the last resort due to the families that were killed there. The situation changes as people start to disappear. Hailey is the only person to notice, and can't seem to get the others to listen. She's determined to make them see the danger before its too late.

Now some quickies (doesn't everyone enjoy a quickie now and then?):
Santa or Grinch? Grinch
Frosty or Rudolph? Frosty
Fireplace or blankets? Fireplace

Eggnog or hot chocolate? Hot Chocolate
Fruitcake or cranberry sauce? Cranberry Sauce

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Read October 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
There's nothing better than a story about a house with secrets. And the one featured in this story has many. One thing I liked about this story is it started as what I thought would be a romantic suspense between two characters and then to my surprise, more characters showed up.

The author did a good job unfolding the back story about all the murders that had taken place and it gave the tale an eerie feel. The pacing was fast which made it a quick read. I would have liked to have seen this story longer so that the characters could have been fleshed out a little more and I would have gotten the chance to know them more in depth.

However, if you're looking to read a quick eerie tale, especially for Halloween, this might be one for you.
